Corsica Tour

Corsica tour is a tour to discover the Island using dirt track and mountain roads,

General

We will meet at either Ashford or a campsite near Bastia.

We travel at a relaxed pace of around 60-65mph stopping approximatly every 2 hours.

Campsites in Corsica - Campsites in Corsica do not take bookings they work on a first come basis, this may mean we may have to look for an alternative.

Basic Itinerary of tour

Day 1:- Meeting on the Friday night at a hotel for the early Saturday morning 06.40 ferry from Dover to Calais then taking the motorway towards Reims,Troyes and Dijon to our first campsite around a Chateaux. It is along day covering about 460 miles so arrival time is about 5.30-6.00pm,

Day 2:- We continue our journey further south through Lyon to the port of Marseille to catch our overnight ferry to Corsica, if you wish you may want to stop in a campsite and catch a day ferry which is a quicker crossing and obviously alot cheaper.

Day 3: - We head to Cap Corse to our campsite, approvably 40 min's from the ferry port, set up camp and the remainder of the day is a rest day. Visit the pool or beach whilst anyone that took the day ferry or made their own way down turns up.

Day 4 - Tuesday - Departure 09.00hrs
Today we tour the area of Corsica known as Cap Corse, spending most of the morning traveling dirt roads across the central mountain before stopping for lunch at Port of Centuri then a dramatic coastal road drive before recrossing the mountains back to our campsite for around 18.00hrs

Day 5 - Wednesday - Departure 09.30hrs
A trip to the beach, today we pack up and head along the northern coast of Corsica to the Désert des Agriates taking a trail to one of the stunning beach's for lunch and a quick dip before heading of to our next campsite.

Day 6 - Thursday - Departure 09.30hrs
After leaving camp we continue our journey to Porto and the 'Calanche of Piana' a vast mass of red Porphyry, eroded into various figures like a dog and witches which is a world UNESCO protected site. before heading to our campsite.

Day 7 - Friday - Departure 09.00hrs
Today we head through the Spelunca Gorge along Corsica's most Dramatic road and to Corte the old capital of Corsica back in the period of Pasquale, taking a leisurely drive through the mountain villages, we should arrive in Corte at our campsite just after lunchtime to allow us to make camp then maybe a visit to the old town or the famous Citadel perched high on a hill.

Day 8 - Saturday - Departure 09.30hrs
Today we pack up camp and move to our last campsite on the coast near Porta Vecchio, Our journey will take us through the mountains along a dirt trail to the l'Inzecca gorge heading to the eastern coast and onto our next campsite stopping onroute for a refreshment in

Day 9 - Sunday
Rest Day,

Day 10 - Monday - Departure 09.30hrs
A drive up into the the Forest of L'Ospedale to the vast network of forest dirt trails, stopping at a village bar for lunch. We will return to camp via the Vallee de San Martinu, an amazing National Park with amazing views.

Day 11 - Tuesday - Departure 09.30hrs
This morning we take a leisurely drive to the Bonifacio, a city located directly at the southern point of Corsica along with the only major harbour on the southern coast with a ferry connection to Sardinia, this is the town you will probably see in photos with the building perched high on the cliff face. The drive to Bonifacio will include a few local trials and we aim to arrive just after lunch, once in the town we will spilt up to allow everyone to do as they please and make their own way back to camp.

Day 12 - Wednesday
Rest Day

Day 13 - Thursday - Departure 10.30hrs
Our final Day, After packing up for the last on the Island we will take a leisurely drive across the mountains to arrive in Ajaccio at 16.30 for our overnight ferry back to mainland France.

Day 14 & 15- Friday & Saturday
The boat should dock in Mainland France at 07.00hrs, at this time most people take there own route but everyone is welcome to travel with us, if traveling with us we will spend

What's included in the cost ?

This trip cost is for the guided trip only, it does not cover campsites or any fuel, food or ferry etc all these cost need to be made by the client.

Price:- £945 per 4x4
Deposit of £250.
Balance of £695 due on or before 16th June 2019.
